The trouser suit comeback

The trouser suit was originally worn in the mid-nineties and was a big trend. It has recently made a big comeback and has been showcased over runway shows like Prada Autumn/Winter 2012, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Balmain. "THE message was clear: dresses are out, trouser suits are in," says Sarah Harris, Vogue's fashion features editor. This tailored like suit adds a hint of masculine touch and I was so glad to see them on the runway this season.
An original Coco Chanel Trouser Suit that can be found in London's famous V&A museum.
Prada Autumn/Winter 2012-2013's collection of tailored suits was my favourite collection. With vibrant geometrical prints and chunky belts, this collection stood out the most for me.
Miu Miu's Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 collection consisted mostly of simple and elegant cropped trouser suits accompanied by masculine belts while reliving the 70's print and colour.

What do you think of this trend, would you dare to wear it on the streets?

Wine.

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great day! Today I went out shopping with my cousins and we had a great time but the weather was so random today, it was rainy and sunny and cold and all over the place. I decided to go with a simple, polished outfit today. I wore my new wine/plum (tell me what color you think these are in the comments!)  jeans from Topshop. I was insanely excited about wearing these today because of their simple elegance. Thanks for reading, comment what you think of these pants below!

austria summer.

Two weeks ago, I was lucky enough to kick off the start of my 8 week summer break in Austria, Europe for the 2nd time with my family. When we arrived in this beautiful country, I was taken back by the beautiful landscapes of mountains and crystal clear lakes surrounding my view and the humid sun! I had just come from Singapore where it constantly rains every day and to be in a country with no rain for a week was definitely a huge relaxation. I spent the week soaking up all the sun I possibly could with lots of sightseeing and mountain hikes!

The cosy hotel we were staying in.
The views from my hotel were absolutely breathtaking!
yummy austrian strawberries.
Austria was full of cows, they were located all over the mountains and this was a typical view from all the tiring mountain walks with my family.
Typical Austrian Costume-The man is wearing a 'Lederhosen' and the lady is wearing a 'Dirndl' which is a typical Austrian dress.

I had such a wonderful time in Austria and it was definitely a break from my normal city life and I cannot wait to go back next year!

They can completely change up a bland outfit. Not only do they make you look amazing, they protect your hair, skin and eyes. Nowadays, you can find tons of different types of floppy hats. Crocheted, colourful, suede, the possibilities are endless. You can pop on a floppy hat with almost any outfit, if you're in doubt keep reading for inspiration!

Tell me what you think about this summer hat trend? Would you wear it, how?

Summer Fjord.

Jacket- Bik Bok
Top- Topshop
Jeans- Gina Tricot
Shoes- Converse

This is from when I went to a beautiful fjord in Norway, in May. The weather was sunny but there was a cold breeze. The view was stunning, absolutely breath taking. We went to visit an old family friend and it was great! Now that I'm in cold and rainy England for summer holidays I kinda miss the warm sun! I really loved how this outfit mixed the girlyness of the floral, frilly top and the masculinity of the army green parka.

Advertorial post: Cabinet Reshuffle

How do you get a completely new wardrobe without buying a thing? It may sound like an impossible task, but with a bit of creative thinking – and a few willing friends – it’s definitely possible.

First of all, you’ll need to take a good long look at your wardrobe and think about what you can live without. Everything in good condition that you haven’t worn in over a year should be taken out. Next, call your mates, and get them to do the same thing. And then get everyone in the same place to clothes swap. You could even make it into a girly party – any excuse! Buy in the wine and pop some pizzas in the oven. Then, invite your mates and their unwanted clothes over and get swapping. Anything that no-one wants can be sold on Ebay or go to the charity shop. It’s an easy way to add some brand new clothes to your wardrobe without spending a thing, as well as getting rid of clothes you no longer want. Your trash is someone else’s treasure!

If you have a man in your life, follow the ‘what’s mine is yours’ rule of thumb, and help yourself to his wardrobe. Boyfriend chic has long been fashionable, and one of our favourite items to steal – sorry, borrow – is his shirt. A classic white shirt, belted at the waist, is a great look for day or night with the right accessories. A blazer is also a fantastic item to nab if your fella is on the petite side. The Very.co.uk G Star jackets collection has plenty of fashionable styles. So much so, that it could make a great gift idea with a two-fold purpose!

Customising is a fantastically economical way to revamp your clothes. Have you got a pair of jeans that you love, but might have seen better days? Make them into cut-offs. A cardigan that’s looking a bit boring, or missing a few buttons, can easily be refreshed by replacing the buttons with something a little more interesting. Try big, nautical-style brass for an on-trend feel.

If you have trousers that are a bit scruffy around the bottoms, simply turn them up to create a new ankle-grazing leg. Old dresses can be redesigned by cutting the hem shorter, or by snipping the skirt off completely to create a new ankle-grazing leg. Old dresses can be redesigned by cutting the hem shorter, or by snipping the skirt off completely to create a new top or tunic. Dying clothes is easily done at home too, and can completely remake an old white top or coat that has been stained beyond repair.

Maxi.

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great day! Maxi skirts are making huge comebakes into our wardrobes this summer. They are a great way to beat the heat and suit almost all body types (if you add a little bit of heel!).
