Belgium

I'm back from Belgium! I had the most amazing time in the grand cities of Hasselt and Brussels. Hasselt  is a small town, just outside of Brussels. I spent the day wandering the cobble stone paths, going to all the humble boutiques, stopping by a charming café for lunch. The next day I travelled to Brussels. Being in Brussels was my favourite part of the trip. Brussels is an exquisite city, home to the EU Quarter. While I was making my way up to Boulevard de Waterloo, a fantastic shopping street, I passed some majestic architectures, some of which were even thousands of years old! After shopping we stopped in the Egmont Park, located near a palace of the same name. These gardens were one of the finest I have ever seen! There was a large fountain with staircases flowing down on each side. The whole scene was romantic and heavenly. My stay in Belgium could not be completed without a visit ( or five) to the Belgium chocolate shops! I went to several small boutiques that specialised in selling only the finest chocolate in Belgium, it was a chocolate lovers paradise! I had an absolutely magnificent experience in Belgium, and would love to visit again. 

Overalls

Summer is the time when new trends are experimented with. This summer, overalls are proving to be a very popular trend amongst everyone ( I have literally seen everyone wear them in London!). Fashion from the 90s like crop tops and overalls are dominating the shops and you could find these clothes in almost every high street brand. There are a myriad of ways to style overalls and so many to chose from. Floral, polka-dot, and stripes are amid many of the different styles, but denim overalls are definitely my favourite. Not only are they versatile and easy to style with, they are also extremely comfortable and stylish if you know how to style them. If you do own a pair of overalls, my number #1 tip would be to wear a contrasting shirt underneath to enhance an eye-catching effect. Overalls also give off a very relaxed and androgynous mood, and is perfect for summer weather. I have recently purchased one for myself and cannot wait to start wearing it!

Above, are my favourite street style pictures of ladies adorning the denim dungaree trend. As you can see, they have each styled the trend in an equally unique and trendy fashion. These pictures just prove that there are an endless amount of ways to wear this trend. The first two looks are fairly subdued in light hues of denim, compared to the other two looks which are bolder and more dressed up.

Summer is finally taking full swing! The weather is hotter, drinks are colder, music is louder and skin gets darker. It is the time of year when you forget about all your worries and all the drama. Summer is when you sit outside for hours, spending time with family and friends in the bright weather. All year people long for summer to come around. This year Mother Nature has really been treating us well in Europe, the weather is hot hot hot! I'm having a great time here in the UK at the moment, and next week I'll be heading off to Brussels! I've never been to Belgium, but I look forward to going there. After that I'll be back home in Norway for a while.
